We are a group of local residents and business owners from the Rickergate area who have recently formed the Save Our Streets Campaign Association. We will oppose plans to destroy the physical and social fabric of the area, including our homes and businesses, and to preserve, if appropriate, the buildings of historical, architectural and cultural significance.

The aims of the Association are:

> To campaign for the retention of the streets, including all homes and businesses, in the defined area and to oppose all plans to destroy the physical and/or social fabric of the area.

> To consider the protection and retention of all buildings of historical, architectural and cultural significance.

> To investigate all possible alternative uses for the buildings, spaces and facilities in the defined area, particularly those in the central area defined by Rickergate, Corporation Road, Peter Street and Warwick Street.

> To build on the already existing good community spirit and good relations amongst all residents, tenants, proprietors of housing and small business people in the area.
